Ready for a fresh start?

⬇️ Here’s how your cat can benefit from it this month too ⬇️

 1. Stick to regular feeding and playtimes

Cats thrive on predictability. Especially now your routine is shifting again, a consistent schedule gives them peace of mind.

  • Feed them at roughly the same times every day (yes, weekends count too 😉).
  • Plan a daily play session, it doesn’t matter how short.
  • Too busy? Set up a food puzzle so your cat has something to do while you’re out.

 2. Keep your cat moving

With autumn on the way, your cat might be spending more time indoors which can get boring pretty quickly.

 3. Do a mini health check

Happy Healthy Cat Month is the perfect time to check in on your cat’s wellbeing.

  • Take a look at their eyes, teeth, and coat.
  • Keep an eye on their weight.
  • Noticed anything unusual? Book a quick vet check to rule out any ilnesses.

“I thought my cat would cope just fine… until I noticed how unsettled he became once I slipped back into my old work routine.”

– An experience many catowners relate to

 4. Give their brain a workout

After a holiday you may need to get your brain going again, and your cat could use some stimulation too.

  • Make a DIY toy.
  • Hide treats around the house and let them “hunt”.
  • Got a spare moment (and some patience)? Teach them a simple trick.

Are you teaching your cat something new this month?

Training your cat to walk on a leash: are you up for it?
Training your cat to walk on a leash: are you up for it?

A cat on a lead? For many, it sounds like pure horror. But deep down, you might be secretly curious, and maybe you’d quite enjoy it (as long as your cat gets used to it and you don’t mind a few curious stares). You’ve probably seen it more and more on social media: cats heading out on little adventures with their owners, wearing a harness.

But how difficult is it really to get your cat used to a leash? And who knows… you might actually end up loving your weekly cat walks.
In this blog, we’ll help you figure out whether it’s something for you and your cat. We'll explore the pros and cons ,and most importantly: how to get started.

 5. Let your cat join your routine

New month = new habits. Why not include your cat?

  • Play for five minutes before work, so they start the day relaxed too.
  • Make cuddle time part of your evening after dinner.
  • Working from home? Use your coffee break for a quick play session. That way, your routine becomes theirs too, and you’ll both enjoy it.
Happy Healthy Cat Month!

This month is all about familiarity, exercise, and a little extra attention. With just a few tweaks to your day, you can help your cat feel calm and content even while you’re getting back into the swing of things.
