You come home, sweating and seeking relief in front of the fan... and there’s your cat, stretched out on the floor with half-closed eyes. Unlike humans, cats can’t sweat, and heat can quickly become overwhelming for them. This is especially true for indoor cats or long-haired breeds like Maine Coons, who are more prone to overheating.
Thankfully, there are simple things you can do as a cat owner to help keep your cat cool and comfortable on hot days. In this blog, you’ll discover 5 practical tips that not only offer relief from the heat, but also add a bit of fun and help keep your cat well hydrated.

My cat Carmen has cool bedding as I cool it down with the fan pointing on the bed from early morning and leave it then pointing up towards the ceiling to cool down the warm air all day till the sun goes down and then leave windows open a few inches if its safe at night. Also cool the drinking water in the fridge not too cold. And if your cat likes a bit of tuna always put it in the fridge before to chill she loves it cold and refreshing in the heat.
