You're on the hunt for a new cat tree. But not just any cat tree. It needs to be sturdy, match your interior, and most importantly — your cats have to love it. You're not in the mood for yet another cat tree your cat will not use.

In this blog, we'll dive into the real-life experiences of fellow cat owners, complete with photos and honest reviews. Because finding the perfect cat tree? That’s easiest when you hear it from those who’ve already tried it. This is our new blog series "The Perfect Cat Tree: Tested & Approved by Our Loyal Customers", where we explore which tree truly suits you and your feline friend — with help from the fans who’ve already fallen in love with it. And today, we’re focusing on one of our most loved cat tree: the Kilimandjaro.

How many cats do you have?

Whether you’ve got one fluffy companion or a whole gang of cats with attitude, the number of cats you have makes a big difference when choosing a scratching post. Got more than one? Then you’ll want multiple beds, lounging spots, and scratching zones. Cats can share — but let’s be honest, territory still matters.

With the Kilimandjaro, every cat gets their own space without stepping on each other’s paws. Thanks to its spacious beds, multiple levels and sturdy scratching posts, there’s plenty to explore, chill on, and scratch away at.

Perfect for multi-cat households.

Breed, behaviour & age — does it really matter?

Absolutely. An 8 kg Maine Coon has very different needs compared to a young 3 kg Sphynx. Young cats love to leap, climb and dive into everything. Older cats, on the other hand, prefer a bit more peace, stability, and lower resting spots.

The Kilimandjaro has something for every type of cat — from playful climbers to laid-back loungers.

What does your home look like (and does it even fit)?

You could buy the fanciest cat tree out there, but if it ends up feeling like a skyscraper in your living room… you might not be so thrilled. That’s why it’s smart to think about what suits your space best. Perhaps a corner model, a slimmer tower, or a lower and wider base.

Luckily, the Kilimandjaro comes in separate, adjustable parts. So if you prefer a lower build, you don’t have to use all the sections.

Always top quality, super sturdy with the little troublemakers in our house! Tried a cheaper scratch post once, but really — cheap = expensive in the long run (lasted 5 months 🙈). No other brand in this house anymore — the bigger investment is 100% worth it.

What about assembly?

Let’s be honest: no one wants to spend hours swearing at screws, parts, and instruction manuals in four different languages.

Luckily, our RHR cat trees are quick and easy to put together. And the cats? They’re more than happy to supervise.

Ours were already climbing in before we’d even finished assembling it.
