My Maine Coons love this pole and it is a good size. Awesome product! Highly recommend especially for bigger cats.
This is my 3 rd Cat Tree King tree. Once I started putting it together and seeing the difference in size. I was very disappointed. I have 2 maine coons and a rescue kitty. Both of my maine coons are 21 lbs each and my rescue is 13 lb. He fit the tree better than both my maine coons. And this is suppose to be XXL. It looks like it will fit comfortably an average cat.
I'm a bit disappointed by this piece to be honest. I spent a long time contemplating which tree would be right for my cat and settled on this one. My cat is a Maine Coon, but she's only about 16.5 pounds. The base of this tree seems sturdy enough... I don't think it will tip over...but the platforms are SO wobbly. Also, the platforms don't extend far enough from the base to touch a wall. So, I'm not able use a wall or corner to give the top platform any sort of backup stability. I can tell my cat doesn't feel very secure on top of it and I'm afraid she won't use it much. It seems even more precarious when she tries to get in and out of it. At least, the materials covering the tree are soft. We've tightened the bolts as much as possible (any further and it would likely start to tear through the particle board base). Returning seemed pointless since there is nothing actually wrong with the tree (meaning, it seems that it's exactly as designed and still wobbly). And the return policy didn't seem to cover this circumstance. Perhaps a double supported platform (rather than single pole) is the way to go when ordering from this company. Anyway, I wouldn't recommend this one.
Also, I've written this review 3 times and they keep taking it down or refusing to post it. So, that tells you something about this brand.

Really great quality and larger than you would
Imagine. The scratch poles are huge; you can’t get 2 hands around them. Very please, makes a difference for larger cats.
